Hurricane Preparation
We do not recommend taking off the awning cover unless there is a hurricane warning with winds over 70 miles per hour or more. In that case, this are the steps to remove the cover:
-
Cut all the ropes
-
Roll up the cover to the top of the frame against the wall.
-
Tie the cover around the ends and the center areas or slide it out from the awning track.
-
If you take off the cover, fold it and then storage it in a safe place.
-
Freestanding awnings just take off the cover and then fold it carefully.
-
After the storm, clean the frame and the reinstall the cover.
-
If your area suffer the pass of a hurricane, failure to take the above steps may result in a damage to the cover, frame and/or your property.
